PERSONALITY: The Holy Roman Empire (sometimes called Holy Rome as a nickname of sorts) retains a more serious and business-like character, but he doesn't mind taking time to relax and unwind every once in a while. He is curious but shy, so he ends up with a lot of burning unanswered questions that could've probably been solved had he just spoken up.
Holy Rome is generally quiet, but this is only a product of his shyness. He is not afraid to yell or raise his voice when he feels the need to speak his mind. He has learned to spend a lot of his time alone, and has no problem with it, however he does enjoy company sometimes. He spends most of his time thinking, reading, creating battle plans, baking, and training.
HISTORY:
- 962 Became an actual "Holy Empire" under the rule of Otto I.
- 955 Defeated the Magyars in the Battle of Lechfeld
- Early Eleventh Century Holy Roman Empire reached the peak of its power and size.
- 1312 Henry VII is crowned the first Holy Roman Emperor since Frederick II.
- 1683 Battle of Vienna; Holy Roman Empire, led by the Polish King John III Sobieski, defeated a large Turkish army, ending the west colonial Ottoman advance.
WHAT YOU GO BY: Lud
YEARS RPING: One year. c:
RP EXAMPLE: Ludwig had just arrived at the office, the crisp morning wind biting at his cheeks and tinting them with a slight pinkish color, and wet grass sticking to the bottoms of his black dress shoes. He pushed open the doors with a relieved sigh, eternally grateful for heaters.
The office seemed normal enough. The secretary was looking positively bored as usual, doodling some young intern's name, circled by hearts, on the sign in sheet. Ludwig considered a reprimanding, but decided against it. He slipped off his coat and hung it up, along with his thick black wool gloves. He entered the bathroom for a moment to splash his chilled face with warm water and clean off his shoes. It was honestly aggravating to have to walk through the little patches of dewy grass to get into the building.
He walked up to the front desk, more or less dumping a a huge pile of work in front of the secretary's face with a grimace. She jumped, glancing up with a startled expression. There was a moment of blank confusion, and then she looked unsure. That was odd, she was usually quite defiant.
It was odd until he was nervously presented with an unusual envelope, sealed with an all-too-familiar crest. His head jerked up to give a hard stare at the woman, his brows furrowing. "Who brought this?"
Her eyes widened in helplessness. "I don't know, Mr. Beilschmidt. It was in your box when I got here. Which is strange, because the night guard said no one was here last night."
He snorted, reaching around her for a letter opener. "If this is from who I think it is, then we won't be getting an explanation anytime soon." He ripped it open, and began to carefully scan the contents.
"...Verdammt." he grumbled, hiding the letter from the now-curious lady's view. "It's nothing. Get back to work." He left her muttering to herself about her awful boss.
